Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-05-09
Welcome to STAMP4U.hk (“the Site”). These Terms of Use form a legal agreement between you and virtualHi, the operator of the Site. By accessing or using the Site you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms. If you don't agree, please stop using the Site.
1. Free-use licence
All stamp generators on the Site are free to use with no signup required. You may:
- Generate stamp preview images as many times as you want
- Download the SVG / PNG and have a local stamp shop produce a physical stamp
- Use generated stamp images for your own company documents, draft contracts and design proofs, and other reasonable business uses
- Copy the raw SVG source into your own design files
The licence is non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable.
2. Prohibited uses
You may not:
- Create stamps impersonating other companies, government bodies, or licensed professionals (solicitors, accountants, notaries, etc.) for impersonation, fraud or deception
- Produce stamps for forged documents, forged signatures or any other unlawful purpose
- Use the Site at scale via automated tools (scrapers, bots) in a way that interferes with other users
- Reverse engineer, decompile, modify without authorisation, or commercially resell the Site
- Remove, obscure or circumvent advertising on the Site
The Site does not actively review user inputs, and responsibility for unlawful use rests entirely with the user.
3. Legal status of stamp preview images
The Site produces stamp design preview images, not legally-binding stamps. Under Hong Kong law, a company stamp must be a physical stamp, used in accordance with the Companies Ordinance, the Stamp Duty Ordinance and other applicable legislation, in order to have legal effect. Files produced by the Site are intended for:
- Design proofs for ordering a physical stamp
- Internal review or draft company documents
- Informal visual representation
Formal legal documents, contracts, banking authorisations and company filings must bear an actual physical stamp. The Site is not responsible for any legal consequences of substituting an image for a physical stamp on a binding document.
4. No warranty
The Site and all its features are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis with no express or implied warranties of any kind, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, uninterrupted or error-free operation.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, virtualHi and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages (including loss of business, profits, goodwill or data) arising from your use or inability to use the Site, or from reliance on stamp images produced by it.
6. Intellectual property
The Site's code, design, brand and other content are owned or properly licensed by virtualHi. The STAMP4U.hk name and logo are brand assets of the Site. The intellectual property in the content you put into a generated stamp image (your company name, address, etc.) belongs to you — the Site claims no rights in it.
7. Third-party services
The Site uses third-party services such as Google AdSense (advertising), Google Analytics (analytics) and Vercel (hosting and performance monitoring). See the Privacy Policy for details. Third-party services are themselves governed by their own terms.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after a change indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. Any dispute arising out of these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong SAR courts.
